Well, you may not have to wait very much longer to watch some of this year’s biggest shows.  It turns out HBO has become the latest victim of an internet hacker.

Entertainment Weekly reports an upcoming episode of Ballers and Room 104 have been put online for anyone to download and watch.  Also a script from next week’s Game of Thrones has also been leaked.

HBO released this statement today: “HBO recently experienced a cyber incident, which resulted in the compromise of proprietary information. We immediately began investigating the incident and are working with law enforcement and outside cyber security firms. Data protection is a top priority at HBO, and we take seriously our responsibility to protect the data we hold.”

The hackers claim to have 1.5 terabytes of data and have threatened to release more material soon.   No word yet on if a ransom was asked to be paid.

This isn’t the first time a major company has had to deal with hackers.  Netflix and Disney also fell victim to similar hacking earlier this year.

I know I don’t want to wait for Curb Your Enthusiasm to come out later this year.  If someone sent you a link to view the leaked shows, would you watch them?  Let us know in the comments below.
