The Artist Formerly Known As “The Weeknd”?

The Weeknd is known for his stage name, but he might start using his real name in the future.
If you are like most, you probably didn’t know his name is actually Abel Tesfaye. The 27 year old singer has used his stage name to keep a little bit of mystery about him.
In an interview with Harper’s Bazaar he said, “I’m not in a rush to let people know everything about me. Mystery is always great. Luckily, the only thing the world demands of me is music. I don’t have to give them anything else for the rest of my life.”
We shall see what happens when a new song comes out. Could be like John Cougar Mellencamp or Prince. He says, “Maybe I’ll retire from being The Weeknd, maybe I’ll just give him a break.”
