Teddy Geiger Announces He Is “Transitioning”

So long Teddy, we hardly knew ya! Singer/Songwriter Teddy Geiger, who had some success with “For You I Will” back in 2006, has announced he’s transitioning from male to female.
More recently Teddy has made a name for himself co-writing almost all of Shawn Mendes’ songs (including “Stitches,” “Treat You Better,” “Mercy,” and “There’s Nothing Holdin’ Me Back”).
When a fan on Instagram asked him, “Tell us, why do you look differentlately?” Teddy gave an answer that has surprised many.
He responded, “Because u asked nicely…I am transitioning. I started talking about it with a couple of my close friends and family about a month ago and it’s given me the courage to start the process. I feel like the next step is to tell all y’all. So here goes.”
His post continued, “Love it or hate it this is who I have been for a looooong time. I love u guys. Talk sooooon byeeee.”
No word yet on when the total transition will take place or what his new name will be. It seems as though fans are excited for him.
