‘Dukes Of Hazzard’ Star Accused Of Assaulting 16 Year Old Girl

A star of the 1980’s television show The Dukes of Hazzard, who was accused of groping a female cast member of a musical he was supposed to appear in, is now facing additional charges that he indecently assaulted a 16 year old girl.
Court records show Tom Wopat is charged with assaulting the girl and another woman back in July while rehearsing for the musical 42nd Street at the Reagle Music Theatre of Greater Boston.
The charges were made public today according to The Boston Globe.
A Waltham Police report states Wopat allegedly hit the girl’s behind with his script, saying “Nice butt.” The teen went to police 2 weeks after his initial arrest.
Wopat had previously pleaded not guilty to groping the other woman.
He issued a statement shortly after his arrest saying he’d be taking time to address a struggle with substance abuse. He expressed “his deepest regrets” to friends, family and fans for the “unfortunate events” but denied any wrongdoing.
