Bette Midler Suffers Fall During Broadway Performance

The Divine Miss M is back on her feet after suffering a fall this week. Bette Midler fell down during a performance of “Hello Dolly!” last night
It happened during the show on Broadway where it looked like the singer and actress missed a step or there was a problem with the scenery.
Audience members say the lights were turned off for about 15 minutes before the show resumed. The 71 year old actress finished the performance and received several standing ovations after the show.
Midler tweeted after the performance, “You may hear I was in a little accident on stage tonight; two set pieces collided, I had to make a run for it, and I fell. But I’m fine.”
She plays Dolly Gallagher Levi in the Broadway show. Glad you are OK, Bette – we wonder if the understudy has something to do with this?
