Rosie O’Donnell is mourning the loss of her ex-wife, Michelle Rounds.
In a statement released to E! News she said, “I am saddened to hear about this terrible tragedy. Mental illness is a very serious issue affecting many families. My thoughts and prayers go out to Michelle’s family, her wife and their child.”
Rounds is believed to have died by suicide this past Monday. She was 46 years old. Since her passing Rosie and many others have been tweeting out the Suicide Prevention Hotline in the hopes it save the life of someone who might be thinking about taking their own life. (That number is 1-800-273-8255, perhaps you’ve heard the new song by Logic by that title?)
Rosie and Michelle were married for 3 years and divorced in 2015.
Her obituary states she attended college at the State University of New York and worked on Wall Street for a Fortune 500 company.
She is survived by her parents, wife Krista Monteleone, two daughters and a stepson. A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
Please keep Michelle’s family and friends in your thoughts during this difficult time.
