Comedian Jerry Lewis Dead At 91
Legendary comedian, actor, singer and director Jerry Lewis has died. He was 91.
Penn Jillette was first to break the news on Twitter earlier today, by saying, “Jerry Lewis just died. When I met him, I feel apart, just sobbed. I guess it’s time for that again.”
The Las Vegas Review-Journal reports Jerry passed away peacefully from natural causes at his home in Las Vegas.
Lewis was one of the most well known comedians in history with a career spanning over 7 decades. He was not only famous for his slapstick routines with Dean Martin, but also for hosting the annual Labor Day MDA Telethons for almost 50 years.
Jerry Lewis has 2 stars on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, one for TV and another for film.
He was married twice and has 6 sons and 1 daughter. Keep them laughing up there, Jerry.
