True Blood’s Nelsan Ellis Dead At 39

Actor Nelsan Ellis, best known for playing Lafayette Reynolds on the HBO series True Blood, has died at age 39.
His manager Emily Gerson told The Hollywood Reporter, “Nelsan has passed away after complications with heart failure. He was a great talent, and his words and presence will be forever missed.”
Ellis had other roles both on stage and in film including Secretariat, The Butler and Get On Up as well as the CBS detective program Elementary.
