Steam’s Gary DeCarlo Dead At 75
Gary DeCarlo of the band Steam has passed away after a battle with cancer.
He was best known for the 1969 number 1 hit song “Na Na Hey Hey Kiss Him Goodbye.”
At the time of recording he went by the name Garrett Scott, and the band hadn’t even been named yet.
Gary’s last tweet on June 11th mentioned in addition to his medical problems he was also dealing with a fractured shoulder.
The tributes, memories and pictures are pouring in on social media.
DeCarlo just celebrated his 75th birthday on June 5th.
