Bill Cosby’s decision to hire Tom Mesereau is already paying off.

As we told you yesterday, Mesereau, who formerly defended Michael Jackson, was added to Cosby’s legal team after former lawyers Brian McMonagle and Angela Agrusa quit.

Mesereau was able to get the retrial, which was set for November 6th, postponed until March at the earliest. Judge Steve O’Neill said that it would be impossible for him to review all of the necessary information by November.  Jury selection will begin in late February or Early March.

Speaking of jurors, the new defense team is considering allowing locals into the jury pool.  In the first trial, the defense didn’t think it would be possible to find impartial jurors in the area, so the original 12 that were deadlocked were from about 300 miles away in Allegheny County.
