Serena Williams shared a snap of her in a yellow swimsuit, showing off a brand new baby bump. She captioned the photo “20 weeks” – as in 20 weeks pregnant!
She has yet to comment on the pic, (in fact, she deleted it) but one of her representatives has confirmed the pregnancy to ESPN. Kelly Bush Novak wrote in an email to them: “I’m happy to confirm Serena is expecting a baby this Fall.” She is engaged to Reddit founder Alexis Ohanian.
Since Serena is 20 weeks pregnant, that means she was about 10 weeks pregnant when she beat her sister Venus at the Australian Open earlier this year. Since then she has taken some time off, but that was reported as a knee injury.
The 23 time champion will not play again in this year due to her pregnancy, but plans to return in 2018.
