It’s hard to believe it has been 3 years since we all did The Ice Bucket Challenge.  The man who inspired people around the world to dump buckets of ice and water over their heads to raise money for ALS research is back in the hospital.

Pete Frates has Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (also known as Lou Gehrig’s disease) and even though it was reported that he had died, he is in fact alive.  His family says that he is resting comfortably at Massachusetts General Hospital.

Pete was a great sport, responding to the announcement of his false death by posting a video of himself in a hospital bed with the the song “Alive” by Pearl Jam playing in the background.

The ALS Ice Bucket Challenge raised more than $220 million when it went viral worldwide on social media in 2014.

Keep the prayers coming for #TeamFrateTrain.  We hope he will be able to get out of the hospital soon.
