Lisa Spoonauer, ‘Clerks’ Star, Dead At 44

Lisa Spoonauer, who played Caitlin Bree in the movie Clerks, has died.
Lisa died Saturday at her home in New Jersey. TMZ reports law enforcement responded to a 911 call to her house but she was not responsive when paramedics arrived.
Other than the role of Caitlin, the only other acting Lisa did was in the movie Bartender. She later became a restaurant manager and event planner.
Director Kevin Smith broke the news of her death on his Facebook page last night.
In part of his post he writes, “Lisa was easily the most natural and authentic voice in the room. She didn’t sound like she was acting at all; she delivered scripted dialogue as if she was inventing her conversation in the moment, like people do in real life.”
Lisa Spoonauer was 44. She is survived by her husband, daughter, and stepson. The complete obituary can be read here.
