John Legend To Play Jesus

John Legend is getting ready for what may be his most important role. The “All Of Me” singer is set to star as Jesus in NBC’s upcoming musical, Jesus Christ Superstar Live in Concert.
In a statement provided by NBC, Legend says, “I’m thrilled to join the cast of this production” because “It’s such a powerful, meaningful musical and I’m humbled to be part of this performance.”
NBC plans to air their take on the Andrew Lloyd Webber musical on Easter Sunday, April 1st. Also Alice Cooper has been cast to play King Herod.
