Jimmy Kimmel’s Tearful Monologue

Jimmy Kimmel got personal on last night’s episode of Jimmy Kimmel Live when he spoke about his newborn son with his wife, Molly McNearney.

Kimmel said that Billy was born on April 21st, and started to turn purple shortly after he was born. A nurse at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center was able to get emergency care for him. They found out that he was born with a heart defect, and rushed him to Children’s Hospital Los Angeles for emergency heart surgery.

Jimmy teared up as he spoke about the situation during his monologue. After thanking doctors and nurses at both hospitals he mentioned he will be taking the rest of the week off and letting a few friends fill in for him.
