Jennifer Lopez is putting her money where her mouth is.  She is helping the people affected by the Hurricane Irma and Maria that hit Puerto Rico in the last few weeks.

The singer joined New York Governor Andrew Cuomo at a press conference over the weekend where she announced she would be donating $1 million, plus proceeds from her Las Vegas show, to help relief efforts.

During the press conference she said, “Alex Rodriguez and I, who are both New Yorkers, are using all our resources and relationships in entertainment, sports and business to garner support for Puerto Rico and the Caribbean.”

J Lo also mentioned that the New York Yankees have also pledged to help, and Mark Cuban and the  Dallas Mavericks are sending planes to the island equipped with generators.  Even her ex Marc Anthony is working to help get aid to both the Caribbean and Mexico.
