When he was just a teenager, Ed Sheeran would play music for money on the street.  It has definetly paid off.

He’s one of the biggest stars on the planet now.  This week he went back to one of those areas he used to play at in Galway, Ireland to shoot a new music video.

According to the Irish Mirror, Ed’s in Ireland for two concerts in Dublin.  In the middle of the night he visited Shop Street to film part of the video.  In the video he is playing the part of a street musician.

Word of Ed being in town traveled fast.

After the shoot he posted a photo on Instagram thanking all the fans who showed up.  The photo was captioned, “Thank you to Galway and all the wonderful people in it for helping us shoot a music video yesterday.”

The video is most likely for Ed’s song “Galway Girl” from his newly released album, Divide.

Can’t wait to see the new video.  When he appeared on CBS Sunday Morning a few weeks back he did say that he seems to sell more records when he appears in the video for the song.

Thank you to Galway and all the wonderful people in it for helping us shoot a music video yesterday x
