Can Chris Meloni Save Law & Order SVU?

Elliot Stabler and Olivia Benson might join forces once again. Christopher Meloni confirms he’s always been open to returning to his Law & Order: SVU roots.
The actor, who starred on the show for 12 years, says if the circumstances are right he would make a return. As for whether or not he’d appear on the series finale, he says he hasn’t been approached yet “so that is the kind of question that’s kind of out of my hands.”
Chris also says he enjoys seeing fans react to his reunions with former co-star Mariska Hargitay. “You know, we don’t live under a rock. Now we do it just to see the reaction. It is lovely. I always kind of felt it and knew it. I knew how important it was to people, how much it meant to people. 12 years with your partner in crime it is a long time.”
