Today’s Biggest Stars Celebrate The Music Of The Bee Gees

Get ready for some Sunday Night Fever!  We’ll finally be able to watch the Stayin’ Alive: A GRAMMY Salute to the Music of the Bee Gees special this weekendIt was recorded back in February and features today’s biggest stars performing the music of The Bee Gees.

The special marks the 50th anniversary of the Gibbs Brothers first hit, and the 40th anniversary of their soundtrack for Saturday Night Fever.

Barry Gibb, the only surviving member of the group has made a comeback in recent months, releasing a new album and doing some television appearances.  Maurice and Robin, Barry’s twin brothers, died in 2003 and 2012.

To commemorate the legacy of the iconic group, Capitol Records will release The Bee Gees’ Timeless: The All-Time Greatest Hits on April 21st, a selection of 21 tracks hand-picked by co-founder Barry Gibb himself.  Set for release the same day, Capitol will reissue the Saturday Night Fever soundtrack.  Finally, on May 2nd, Paramount will release a brand new Director’s Cut of the film, restored in 4K, on Blu-ray, DVD, and Digital HD.
