Alec Baldwin & Wife Expecting Baby, Quits Twitter
It’s been quite the week for Alec Baldwin. First, he and wife, Hilaria announced they are expecting their fourth child together, and hours later Alec was in the hot seat for comments he made about women taking settlements in cases of sexual harassment and abuse.
On PBS News Hour Baldwin said,“When women take money, and are silenced by that money, even though they took the money and were silenced because they were told beyond the money it was the right thing for them to do, keep quiet, don’t make too many waves, it’s going to hurt your career — when they do it, nonetheless, does it set back the course of change? That’s an issue, I think.” He specifically mentioned Rose McGowan, saying it was up to her to prosecute the case against Weinstein and she chose to take a settlement instead.
In response to the critics, Alec Tweeted that he had no intention of blaming victims, he just believed that taking a settlement “certainly delayed justice.” Alec added that he’s going to avoid his personal Twitter for the near future.
