Ariana Grande Is Now A Citizen Of Manchester

One month after Ariana Grande returned to Manchester, UK for her One Love Manchester concert, Manchester is showing Ariana the love now.
The “Dangerous Woman” singer has officially been made an honorary citizen of Manchester, mainly for the way she responded to the deadly bombing in the city on May 22nd.
Sir Richard Leese, head of the Manchester City Council, released a statement saying that Ariana exemplified a response “with love and courage rather than hatred and fear.”
The statement continued, “I think many people would already consider her an honorary Mancunian and will be delighted, now the Council has approved the proposal, to make it official.”
During the vote Ariana was described as “a young American woman for whom it would have been understandable if she had never wanted to see [Manchester] again.” In reality Ariana cancelled all other concerts after the bombing and did not perform anywhere again until after the benefit concert which raised millions of dollars for the We Love Manchester Emergency Fund.
