Katy Perry Breaks Twitter Record

If you follow Katy Perry on Twitter, you got to “witness” her make history.
According to Twitter, the “Chained To The Rhythm” singer has become the first person to reach 100 million followers on the social network site.
It seems like her 96 hour live stream event last weekend must have helped her get some new followers. Youtube stats show that more than 49 million people tuned in to that “show.”
We decided to check a few other big stars to see how close they are to 100 million followers.
Of the people we checked, Justin Bieber is the closest with 97 million followers. Taylor Swift has 85 million, Rihanna has 74 million, Lady Gaga has 66 million, Justin Timberlake has 61 million and Britney Spears has 53 million followers.
Congrats, Katy! You are taking over the world!
