Judge In Bill Cosby Case Declares Mistrial

After more than 50 hours of deliberating, the jury in the Bill Cosby trial could not come to a unanimous decision. As a result of the deadlock, the Judge was forced to declare a mistrial.

What does a mistrial mean? Prosecutors will be able to retry the case at a later date. The comedian’s wife, Camille, released a lengthy statement on his official Twitter page.

Her statement in part reads, “How do I describe the District Attorney? Heinously and exploitively ambitious. How do I describe the judge? Overtly and arrogantly collaborating with the District Attorney. How do I describe the counsels for the accusers? Totally unethical. How do I describe many, but not all, general media? Blatantly vicious entities that continually disseminated intentional omissions of truths for the primary purpose of greedily selling sensationalism at the expense of a human life.”

At a news conference this morning District Attorney Kevin Steele said prosecutors will evaluate and review the case.

Cosby isn’t off the hook yet, but as you can see from the supporters below, many are happy that he was not found guilty today.
