Boston’s Sib Hashian Dead at 67
John “Sib” Hashian, the drummer best known from the rock group Boston, died yesterday after collapsing on stage.
TMZ reported he was performing on a “Legends of Rock” cruise when he suddenly collapsed, CPR was performed but did not revive him.
The cruise will continue as scheduled with another ex-Boston member Barry Goudreau, former Foreigner singer Lou Gramm, former Beach Boys member David Marks and former Kansas singer John Elefante performing tributes to Sib on the ship tonight.
Sib played on Boston’s singles “More Than a Feeling,” and “Don’t Look Back” in 1975. Since then he has also played on albums featuring Sammy Hagar and Ernie Boch Jr. He leaves behind a son Adam, and daughters Aja and Lauren. Lauren Hashian has a daughter with Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson.
Sib Hashian was 67, welcomed into Rock ‘n Roll heaven too soon.
