Vampire Diaries Series Finale Tonight

After eight seasons, The Vampire Diaries comes to an end tonight. In an interview with Variety, Co-creator and executive producer Julie Plec said fans are going to want to prepare themselves for surprises and plenty of tears.

Nina Dobrev is making her return to the show tonight, but that’s not the only familiar face fans will recognize. Fans will also want to keep tissues nearby because even the writers are reporting they cried during the episode. Plec says, “There’s definitely an emotional tug to this episode, deliberately and with respect, so I think everyone who watches will have some kind of an emotional experience that might come in a different place than others.”“The Vampire Diaries” series finale airs tonight at 9 PM eastern on The CW.
