Shannen Doherty Hosts Animal Gala In LA
Shannen Doherty continues to be an inspiration by documenting her breast cancer journey on social media. Just one week after finishing chemotherapy, the 45 year old Beverly Hill 90210 and Charmed star hosted the Animal Hope and Wellness Foundation’s Gratitude Gala last night in Los Angeles.
The event was designed to pay tribute to the dedicated volunteers and donors who make the foundation’s work of saving the lives of innocent animals in the United States and Asia.
Doherty spoke with E! News about her Instagram posts and health battle: “I just thought, I was doing something that was beneficial, maybe to myself and others, and maybe through that journey we could all learn something. I learned a lot from my fans who follow me and my cancer family who post and tell me about their journey.”
