Disney is having success with the current live action re-make of Beauty and the Beast, so they are going to attempt to re-create more magic, with a Lion King reboot.

Variety reports that Disney is looking at Beyoncé to be the voice of Nala in the live-action Lion King remake.

The “Irreplaceable” singer has not yet committed to the role, but it is reported that director Jon Favreau is willing to accommodate Bey’s schedule and pregnancy.  (Can you feel the love?)

Should Beyoncé take on the role, it will mark for her first film role since she voiced the character of Queen Tara in 2013’s animated film Epic. Her other movie credits include 2002 comedy Austin Powers  Goldmember, 2006 musical Dreamgirls and 2009 thriller Obsessed.

So far, only two cast members for the new version of Lion King have been announced.  Actor Donald Glover will voice Simba, and James Earl Jones will be back as Simba’s father Mufasa.

A release date has not been announced.
