Katy Perry Wins Legal Battle For Convent

Katy Perry may soon be movin’ on up!  The former gospel singer (yeah, really) has been in a legal battle with nuns who have been living in a convent that was for sale in Los Angeles.

This week, Los Angeles Judge Stephanie Bowick ruled that the California Institute of the Sisters, controlled by the Roman Catholic Archbishop of Los Angeles, has clear title to the property and so is free to complete the sale to Perry for $14.5 million.

The Archbishop had been in an ongoing legal battle with the nuns over who had the right to sell the 25 bedroom, 30,000 square foot home.  Perry has been trying to buy the property for over 2 years.

We should soon see Katy with a moving truck or 2 outside of 3431 Waverly Drive in Los Angeles.
