2 Live Crew’s Christopher Wong Won Dead At 53

2 Live Crew‘s Christopher Wong Won, known to fans as Fresh Kid Ice has died. The news was shared on Twitter earlier today from longtime friend and former group member Luther “Uncle Luke” Campbell.
“My Condolence goes out to the family Chris Wong Wong Fresh Kid Ice of the 2 Live Crew who just passed away people we lost a legend.”
TMZ reports Won died this morning in a Miami hospital from an undisclosed medical decision.
The hip-hop group was formed with Fresh Kid Ice, Uncle Luke, DJ Mr. Mixx and Amazing Vee in the ’80s. The group was known for being advocates for First Amendment Rights after their 1989 album As Nasty As They Wanna Be was considered to be obscene.
Fresh Kid Ice was only 53.
