Selena Gomez‘s television project has been renewed for a second season.

Netflix announced today that their latest original program, 13 Reasons Why, will return next year with another 13 episodes.

The program will pick up “in the aftermath of Hannah Baker’s death and the start of the characters’ complicated journeys toward healing and recovery” according to a statement.

The show has been getting more popular even though there has controversy surrounding the subject matter.  The main character, Hannah Baker, played by Katherine Langford dies by suicide and leaves behind tapes for the people she says are the “reasons” why she decided to take her own life.

Selena is an executive producer on the show and shared a season two teaser on Instagram this morning with the caption “Their story isn’t over.  Season 2 of #13ReasonsWhy is coming.”
